A feature type can be associated with a particular icon that will be displayed in the Features Catalog next to the name of the feature type. A generic icon can also be associated with the feature type. No Icon is a valid setting.

The Icon Selection dialog box is used to select an icon for the active feature type or to apply the No Icon setting. This dialog box is accessed with the Icon button on the Properties page. A generic icon can also be associated with the feature type.

Available icons are stored in the image file named feature_image.bmp, which is distributed with the Configuration Assistant. Icon options can be modified by replacing the set of default icons with custom icons. Each icon is 16 × 16 pixels. A file containing 40 icons, for example, will be 640 pixels wide and 16 pixels tall.
